One more knit project finished

Posted on Updated on

I finished another knit project!  This had been a WIP set aside for quite some time (blogged at the end of January). It was ready in time for our holiday, buttons sewn on and all!

Updating of 2018 Enthusiams (Resolutions to some):

  • Keep on track with the diet – there may have been a little over indulgence on holiday (well, a lot actually! I steered clear of creamy cocktails, but did sup a few clear ones, ate plenty of desserts and did little exercise – I don’t think a dip in the Indian Ocean counts as a healthy swim to counteract it, or does it ..?) .  But according to my bathroom scales nothing too horrific to report
  • Sort out craft stuff all over the house – finishing a WIP counts
  • Think seriously about the next step jobwise/careerwise and make good choices – not been thinking, so this is a mini fail
  • Make a bucket list of things to do compelled by a particular date – I have a big reveal about this later in the week !  Thanks to a pair of lovely lovely friends!
  • Become more involved in day to day household accounting/finance – mini fail …. time to get my pen and paper out ..

OK, so that sweater is so sweet!! Do you have details on your Ravelry page? Also, don’t beat yourself up on your enthusiasms. Really. It has only been two months. I’m wondering if it would be more beneficial to do one a month rather than bombard ourselves with stuff then feel like we fall short if we don’t nail them all right off the bat. Enjoy your day!!

Thanks. No details on there but will fish out pattern and add details here tomorrow. I know I used King Cole Cottonsoft DK but the pattern wasn’t a King Cole one. Back tomorrow !

Love that little cardi, I think it would suit my stature very well.

It was an easy knit, just took me ages as other projects became priorities.

Hi Tina I have a box of buttons, my Mum and Nan had Tea caddies with buttons in, I used to play with them a lot as a child. I have loads of buttons yet when I’m looking for some buttons for a finished project I can never find what I want. Is that only me? not sure how to add photos so I wont show you mine here.

Thanks for your comment. I know what you mean – I often don’t have enough for a project
or not the right colour or size. I was just lucky this time!

Just posted a bit if a To-do list. I love lists. If Post-It notes not invented, my life would be far less organized. Wish I had invented them. I also carry a notebook everywhere and at home have old scrap paper clipped together for jottings and ideas. We use the back of printed paper and letters.

Wish I could knit. I get holes. So need for my future projects. Have you ever used a knitting machine?

I have notebooks and still write on scraps and the edges of newspapers – I need a better system! No, not used a knitting machine. I only have memories of one my Mum had years ago – it was fiddly – but I know they’ve moved on a lot.
